These terms govern your use of the Uyirtham website and apps. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy.
1. Who these terms are between
TODO(content) — The contracting legal entity, its registered office and its jurisdiction of incorporation. Owner: Founders / Legal.
2. What Uyirtham does
Uyirtham is a marketplace. Meal packs and food items listed on Uyirtham are prepared, packed and delivered by independent neighbourhood kitchens using their own staff and their own riders. Uyirtham does not cook and does not operate a delivery fleet. Your order is fulfilled by the kitchen you order from.
3. Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive your OTP can access your account. Tell us at once if you lose control of the number.
4. Eligibility
TODO(legal) — Minimum age and capacity to contract; must be consistent with the Privacy Policy children clause. Owner: Legal.
5. Where we can serve you
Availability depends on your delivery pincode. You will only see kitchens that have confirmed they deliver to that pincode, so what is available to you changes if you change your delivery address.
6. Orders, prices and taxes
Prices are set by each kitchen. Before you pay, checkout shows the full breakdown — item totals, applicable taxes and any delivery charge — and the total you will be charged. An order is confirmed when the kitchen accepts it.
7. Nutrition and health information
Nutrition figures, ingredient lists and allergen information are supplied by the kitchen that prepares the food. Uyirtham’s recommendations are a convenience feature based on the answers you give us; they are not medical, dietary or clinical advice. If you have a serious allergy or a medical condition, check with the kitchen and your doctor before ordering. Food is prepared in shared kitchens and cross-contact cannot be ruled out.
8. Subscriptions
TODO(legal) — Subscription terms: renewal, the cut-off for pausing or skipping a delivery, how a cancellation interacts with deliveries already generated, and how price changes apply mid-subscription. The product behaviour exists (next-day generation with a per-kitchen cut-off); the contractual terms have not been agreed. Owner: Legal + Product.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no fraudulent orders, no abuse of kitchen staff or riders, no attempt to break, scrape or overload the platform, and no posting of unlawful or misleading reviews.
10. Ratings and reviews
You may rate and review an order you have received. Kitchens may reply publicly. We may hide or remove a review that breaks these terms; the kitchen cannot.
11. Liability
TODO(legal) — Limitation of liability, the allocation of responsibility between Uyirtham and the fulfilling kitchen (particularly for food safety and quality), and any indemnities. This is the highest-risk clause on the site and must be drafted by Legal, not by engineering. Owner: Legal.
12. Suspension and termination
TODO(legal) — Grounds and process for suspending or closing an account, and the effect on live subscriptions and pending refunds. Owner: Legal.
